Lawrence O. Gostin is Associate Dean and the Linda D. and Timothy J. O'Neill Professor of Global Health Law at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he directs the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law. This is a good reader summarizing relevant Public Health Law issues. However, it's not the most current and given the drastic technological advances and public health law issues raised within the past few years, it's more than overdue for a refresh. Also, it sometimes mentions cases that are foundational but doesn't do case examples for these cases, rather applying the specific test or ruling of the foundational case to others. This just seems odd as you need to understand how and why the test originated in the first place. My only otehr criticism would be that it's WAAAAAY WAAAAY WAAAAY to repetitive of the text book.
This is a great book< very informative and easy to understand. However, it would have been better in hardcover.
Minus one Star because I wish this book was on Kindle like the main text.
I really like how the reader presents the cases. They aren't the full cases but provide you with the details you need along with some interesting opinions.
I just love medical law or I wouldn't be taking this course, right?
not amazing but as good as/better than I expected from my uni bookstore. some underlining but this class is very boring so it probably helps
